Superintendent's Message
We, the students and staff of District 17, welcome you to our website. We are very proud of our District and are pleased that you are taking the time to read about us.
Student learning is the single most important feature of all of our staffs’ work. Teachers and administrators, through collaboration with students and their parents, strive to ensure that students are successful learners. Our teachers know that each student learns in a unique way and teachers use a variety of instructional strategies to facilitate student learning.
Our District Improvement Plan (DIP) is our strategic plan to focus on learning. You are invited to view it on this website. The DIP targets areas of achievement that require attention and we monitor our plan and make adjustments according to our students’ results on the various provincial assessments. We are very proud to inform you that our literacy results rank in the top two of the nine school districts.
